ENGLAND'S leading visually impaired cricketer has paid thanks to Redditch Cricket Club for their support over the years, as the club has been celebrated for it support of visually impaired players.

Luke Sugg, from Batchley, visited the club to show his gratitude to the club which has supported him for the past 20 years.

It comes as the England Cricket Board have rolled out nationwide the model piloted by Redditch Cricket Club and Worcestershire Cricket Board to give all England blind players access to their local club.

Pete Sugg, Luke's father, said Redditch Cricket Club have been "ahead of the curve" and he credits the club for their inclusivity and adapting training to help Luke reach his cricketing potential for England.

The 31-year-old has played 87 times for England's visually impaired team, scoring over 3,000 runs and taking 44 wickets making him the leading partially sighted player in the country.
