SHOPPERS from Redditch can now buy Christmas cards from more than 25 national and local charities in one place.

Cards for Good Causes - which sells charity cards across the country - has now opened its shop until Tuesday, December 18 in Redditch Library.

The card designs range from modern, humorous, traditional and religious including Advent cards and calendars. There is also a good selection of Christmas gifts available which help the running costs of Cards for Good causes, enabling more money to be given back to the charities.

This year for the first time the shop is also selling cards for the local charity Primrose Hospice.

Redditch's charity Christmas card shop is one of a national network of shops. Last year the charities received over £5.1 million from Cards for Good Causes for their Christmas card sales.

Because Cards for Good Causes keeps its operating costs to an absolute minimum, charities receive at least 80p in every £1 from their card sales out of which they have to pay for the production and distribution of their cards and any VAT.

The shop, staffed by local volunteers, is open Monday to Saturday from 10am-4pm and until 3.30pm on Saturday.
