POLICE are searching a house and grounds in Alvechurch for the body of a man who has been missing for almost two years.

Former male model Andre Nunes (pictured below), 48, went missing from his home in Weoley Castle, Birmingham, on September 11, 2005.

The front door to his flat had been forced open and his personal belongings had been left undisturbed.

The case was officially reclassified from a missing persons inquiry to a murder investigation in March last year with police believing he may have been taken against his will and killed.

Officers began searching Moorfields, a detached house on Lilley Green Road in Alvechurch, yesterday.

A 48-year-old woman was arrested at the property and a 51-year-old man has been arrested in the Birmingham area in connection with the inquiry.

So far, police have interviewed more than 200 people and seized 500 exhibits as part of their investigation into Mr Nunes' death.

The four-acre site was sealed off by police who expect their search to last for the next five days.
