ANT and Dec will be hoping to snap up the presenting prize for the 17th year running at the National Television Awards (NTAs).

The popular double act are up against presenting duo Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield and Bradley Walsh for the coveted TV Presenter title at the awards at the O2 London tonight (January 23).

The Geordie duo are reigning champions, having won the title for a record-breaking 16 years.

US musician Neil Diamond has announced he is retiring from touring following a recent diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.

The Sweet Caroline singer, who turns 77 on Wednesday, said he had made the decision with “great reluctance and disappointment” and thanked fans for their support.

The onset of the disease is said to have made it “difficult” for Diamond to “travel and perform on a large-scale basis”.

VIEWERS were amused when a typo at the Screen Actors Guild Awards saw Dame Judi Dench seemingly nominated for a bread-themed prize.

As the nominees for the stars up for the outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role award were announced, the screen incorrectly declared that Dame Judi was in line for the “leading roll” accolade.

The blunder had viewers of the show in stitches, with plenty taking to Twitter to mock the moment and share bread puns.

GAME Of Thrones stars Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington took a break from filming the hit fantasy show to pose with huge replicas of their new stamps.

The stars – who play Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow in the programme – appear on a new set of first class stamps released by Royal Mail on Tuesday.

The set of 15 stamps highlights British contributions to the HBO series, which so far has been mainly filmed in Northern Ireland with a predominantly British and Irish cast.
