ALCESTER and Stratford District Round Table has elected a new chairman following the group's annual general meeting.

Rob Iles, owner of Avonlea Guest House in Stratford-upon-Avon, has taken over the reigns from Luke Bull for the 2017-18 year, with Nathan Rosewell stepping up as vice chairman.

Rob, who is aiming to raised more than £10,000 for good causes, is looking forward to working with members to support the community through Round Table’s charity events and has organised a diary full of social activities.

He said: "I’m very proud to become chairman, ever since I joined Alcester & Stratford District Round Table I have gained a group of friends, who all have the same aims in Round Table, to have fun whilst giving back to the community we live in."

Nathan added: "I’m looking forward to supporting Rob in his aim of raising more than £10,000 this year. We have a great group of members who all see Round Table as a social club with a conscience."

The group offers men aged 18 to 45 the opportunity to give back to their local community whilst enjoying various social events like laser skirmish, bell boating, axe throwing, fire spinning and running the Santa sleigh during two weeks approaching Christmas.

Alcester and Stratford District Round Table have members from Alcester, Stratford, Bidford, Henley, Wellesbourne and Studley.
