THREE schoolgirls are holding a family fun day in aid of Worcestershire Royal Hospital maternity ward’s bereavement fund.
Walkwood CE Middle School pupils Lauren Sole, Eleanor Dicken, Emily Nattrass, all aged nine, have raised about £1,600 for the charity through various fundraising.
Lauren, who lost her little sister Marcie on April 25 last year at the hospital, wanted to raise money as a thank you to the staff for supporting her family.
Together the trio have planned a family fun day event from noon Sunday, June 18 at the 1st Redditch Scout Hut in Harris Close.
The event will include a dance display by Emma Charlotte's Dance Academy, a cake stall, crafts, face painting, manicures, games, glitter tattoos and a barbecue, with all donations going to the bereavement fund.
