A MAN has been arrested and released on police bail after a 74-year-old woman died from severe head and spinal injuries, following a crash in Brierley Hill on Friday.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the collision in Pedmore Road, at the traffic light junction with The Gateway, at around 2pm on February 3, where a black Ford Focus ST had crashed with a blue Ford Mondeo.

THREE men have been arrested at the Frankley Services near Bromsgrove, for allegedly entering the country illegally.

Police detained the men at the M5 motorway service station between junction three for Halesowen and junction four for Bromsgrove.

THE owners of a Kidderminster fencing company have been given suspended sentences after a worker was hit by timber posts and frames which fell from a fork lift truck.

Hoo Farm Fencing owners Maurice Blackford, of Minster Road, Stourport, and Susan Hawthorne, of Hartlebury Road, Stourport, both pleaded guilty to breaching section 2 (1) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
