THE Lime Kilns in Tardebigge welcomed visitors from across the country earlier this month, as part of the Heritage Open Days event.
Volunteers from Worcester, Birmingham & Droitwich Canals Society greeted guests on arrival and offered tours of the site, to show off the conservation work currently underway.
A spokesman for the society said: "We had a great display for people to peruse and everybody enjoyed looking through the range of artefacts including bottles and an old shoe that were put on display for them.
"Many visitors were so impressed that they vowed to come along to future meetings in Alvechurch."
The annual festival saw buildings of all ages, styles and functions welcome visitors to celebrate local history and culture across the country.
