A REDDITCH man has been jailed at Worcester Crown Court after admitting a second offence of possessing indecent pictures of young children.

David Williams, 53, of Packwood Close, was said by prosecutor Christopher Lester to have 403 images on his three computers when his home was raided by police this year after a tip-off.

There were 110 of category A (the most serious), 164 of category B and 129 of category C.

He also had an extreme pornography picture.

Jailing him for 12 months, Judge Nicholas Cole said Williams had failed to respond to warnings given when he was last in court for a similar offence in 2008.

He was then also convicted for sexual assault.

His counsel, Abigail Nixon, said the last conviction was when he was a piano teacher and he kissed one of his pupils on the lips.

He lived alone and had been depressed by the death of his parents and a dispute over the division of property.

She claimed he had received little assistance since he had served a short sentence in 2008 but he had tried to help himself by contacting a voluntary agency.

The judge made an indefinite sexual harm prevention order and also banned him from unrestricted access to the internet.
