ALCESTER police are warning motorists of the dangers of drink driving at Christmas.
During the festive season, police will be increasing their patrols and keeping the roads safe by carrying out road side breathalyser tests, and winter vehicle checks.
A spokesman from Alcester police said: “Please be aware of what your friends are drinking and don't get into their car if they are going to drive while intoxicated.
“You are more of a friend if you take the keys off them and call a taxi.
“The Alcester Police teams would like you to have lovely Christmas and enjoy your time with family and friends.”
Anyone who sees someone attempting to operate a vehicle whilst drunk is urged to call 999 as this may require urgent police action.
Those who know someone who regularly drink drives is urged to contact the police.
