ALCESTER Court Leet’s new High Bailiff Tim Forman has been officially rung in with a town cry held in High Street at the weekend.
Following the Court Leet elections last Thursday, Vaughan Blake stepped down and Mr Forman took over his role as High Bailiff.
The meeting also elected other officers including the new Low Bailiff Ian Whitehead.
The Town Crier David Parkes announced the news in the traditional manner, with a bell and proclamation made to the manor of Alcester on Sunday, October 11.
The High Bailiff is the leading officer of the Court Leet and runs several charity events throughout the year to raise money for community groups and projects in the area.
