A BEAUTY queen from Redditch is hosting a fundraising event in aid of the children’s charity the Variety Club.
Miss Birmingham Rosie Thompson, aged 18, of Brockhill, has arranged the event with help from friend Jack Bowen at the Golden Cross on Unicorn Hill.
The charity evening, which is taking place on Friday, July 31, will include performances from solo acts Rosie Wise and Charlie Harris and bands Detectives, Kill the Romance and Call Out.
A raffle is also being organised at the event.
Doors open at 7.30 and entry costs £2 per person.
The charity aims to provide practical help for sick, disabled or disadvantaged children.
Miss Thompson is taking part in Miss England 2015 with a grand finale being held between Thursday, August 13 and Friday, August 14 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
