YOUNGSTERS from Webheath First School recently visited Brambles Residential Care Home in Headless Cross to sing modern and traditional Christmas carols for the residents.
The youngsters performed classics such as Away in a Manger and The Calypso Carol, as well as Webheath’s version of The Twelve Days of Christmas which the pupils wrote themselves, replacing the words with items they have on their Christmas gift lists for Santa.
The home’s manager Margaret Hook said: “Our residents love Christmas and there is no better way to get into the festive spirit than listening to the sound of children singing.
“It was a very special performance and we found their version of The Twelve Days of Christmas very amusing – the room was full of beaming, smiling faces and our residents absolutely loved the visit.”
