SHOPPERS are being urged to celebrate Redditch’s market which will boast a host of entertainment in the run up to Christmas.

The programme will kick off on Saturday, October 25 with beats from Glamba Drumming and then run throughout every market day throughout half term.

Bargain-hunters can be wowed by jugglers and clowning on Monday, get involved in building a Tudor House on Tuesday and take part in a scary arts and craft session for halloween on Thursday, as part of the initiative.

After half term the entertainment will continue every Friday and Saturday until December 20 running periodically from 10am until 4pm. The festive fun culminates on Monday and Tuesday, December 22 and 23.

Redditch Council has been commissioned by North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration Partnership in a bid to boost the market.

Councillor Greg Chance, whose portfolio covers economic development, said: “This programme of entertainment is set to be fun for all the family.

“In Redditch we already have a vibrant market but we want these activities to attract even more shoppers to see for themselves what the stalls have to offer.”
