An evening of theatrical Viagra
4:50pm Saturday 15th February 2014 in News
AFTER a sell out UK tour in 2013, Dirty Dusting returns to the stage this year and will be stopping off at Redditch's Palace Theatre.
Starring Crissy Rock, from hit TV series Benidorm and I’m a Celebrity, as well as Leah Bell, Dolores Porretta Brown and Jason Jones, the show is about three cleaning ladies who start up a telephone sex line.
Gladys, Elsie and Olive are three cleaning ladies who are about to be put out to pasture by their overzealous office manager Dave.
Feeling they have little chance of gaining employment elsewhere, the ladies have to boost their falling income.
A chance wrong number requiring a sex chat line rings into the office and gives them a great idea.
They reason that their age and appearance won’t matter on the telephone so providing they can keep it a secret from their boss start The Telephone Belles - a sex chat line that really cleans up.
However, things don’t go entirely according to plan.
A theatre spokesman said: "This is a heart-warming feel-good comedy that will have you rolling in the aisles and smiling every time you answer the phone."
The show, written by Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood and directed by Leah Bell, is on March 6.
Tickets are available in person or at the Palace box office on 01527 65203 priced £20.75 (inclusive of booking fee 75p per seat up to a maximum £3).
