REDDITCH sports clubs, schools, colleges and organisations are being invited to apply for a share of Sport England Funding for the upcoming financial year.

Redditch Council is currently accepting applications for the fourth and final year of the Sportivate programme, which is designed to help organisations that already deliver sport and physical activity or would like to deliver sport and physical activity.

The nationwide Sport England Campaign, delivered in partnership with Sport Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire, aims to capture the excitement of sport and provide teenagers and young people aged 11-25 with the opportunity to receive between six and eight weeks of sport coaching and encourage regular participation.

Successful bidders can use funding to help cover the cost of coaches, incentives, equipment, facilities costs and much more.

John Godwin, head of leisure for Redditch Council, said: “If your club or organisation would like to provide a new sporting service or if you simply need to recruit new members then this funding is ideal for you. Don’t hesitate to get in touch – we’re here to help you make the best of sporting opportunities across the borough.”

The deadline for completing application forms is Monday 13th January. The form can be found online at www.redditchbc.gov.uk/sportivate or we can send you a paper copy on request.
