POLICE are appealing for witnesses after several burglaries took place in Bidford over the festive season.

Two break-ins took place during the day of Wednesday, December 18 at homes in The Leys.

Residents reported forced entries to the properties, with a small safe stolen from one address, which was found forced open in a neighbour’s garden. A watch and a ring were both stolen from the second property after an untidy search was made of the bedrooms.

Both burglaries were reported at 6.30pm.

A third burglary occurred on Boxing Day in Smiths Close, Bidford. Offenders gained entry to the property by smashing the lounge window window, making a tidy search of the home and stealing a television, aftershave and deodorants, DVDs and games.

That burglary was discovered and reported to police just before 11.30pm.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious on The Leys or Smiths Close, or who has any information which might be useful to police, should call the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident no. 278 for the Boxing Day burglary, or no.s 286 and 291 for the burglaries on December 18.
