INDIGO Arts recently packed out Redditch Ecumenical Centre when members put on their Take 2 Has Christmas Talent show.

The performing arts group for young people and adults with learning disabilities, which has run regular workshops from Kingsley over the last decade, used the skills and talents developed over the years, to direct, create, write, choreograph and produce their own show, under the guidance of leader Emma Ford, and the Indigo team.

Indigo projects manager, Cathy Moss, said: "It was an amazing evening. Take 2’s energy, enthusiasm, talent and sense of fun is infectious, and the audience enjoyed every second. They are a shining example of what can be achieved with the right opportunities. Year on year people leave these performances with massive smiles on their faces."

Take 2 were supported by the newest of the Indigo workshop groups, O25, which was launched following enormous demand for the charity to extend its renowned singing workshops to the over 25s!

Indigo takes to the stage again this Saturday, December 14, at the Ruddock Performing Arts Centre, in Birmingham, for T’was Ten Nights Before Christmas, a performance of festive family favourites.

The show will feature all the Indigo singing groups, which start from age four upwards. It is the first time the charity has moved its performance base to Birmingham, although regularly touring to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and performing across the county, it has undertaken regular large scale performance at Kingsley College, where it is based.

Since the close of Kingsley Theatre it has struggled to find a performance space in the town equal to its requirements, enabling the charity to balance the books alongside meeting the charitable objectives in the current climate, while still maintaining high professional standards.

Tickets for the production can be bought online from the Ruddock Performing Arts Centre Box Office site tickets.ruddockpac.co.uk/Sales.
