The incident occurred on Monday, December 2 at approximately 11.50am at an industrial unit on the Arden Forest Industrial Estate, when a garage car ramp collapsed and fell onto a 52-year-old man trapping him and causing severe head injuries.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a man at an industrial unit with severe injuries. He received advanced medical treatment at the scene by ambulance crews and medics.”
The man went into cardiac arrest at the scene, but was successfully revived by ambulance crews, before being intubated and immobilised.
He was then flown to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Major Trauma Unit for further emergency treatment by Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
