HMP Hewell nurse charged with drugs offence

A NURSE working at HMP Hewell has been charged with a drugs offence.
Joanne Ashton-Phillips, from Alvechurch, is charged with one count of supplying a quantity of a controlled Class B drug.
The 39-year-old was arrested by West Mercia Police last year and is set to appear before Redditch Magistrates Court next week for a first hearing.
A spokesman from West Mercia Police said: “A 39-year-old woman from North Worcestershire has been charged with supplying a Class B drug and is due to appear before Redditch magistrates on February 13.”
