PARALYMPIC swimmer Claire Cashmore made a special appearance at Sainsbury’s in Redditch this month, wearing her two silver and one bronze medal.
Ms Cashmore, who was born in Redditch, thanked residents for their support during the games as part of a campaign by the supermarket chain, which introduced 52 Paralympians to members of their local community at branches of the supermarket around the country.
Sainsbury’s Redditch deputy manager Yvonne Sheehan, said: “This was a great opportunity for our customers to meet Claire in person. Many of our customers and colleagues were right behind her during the games, cheering her on to success. This was the perfect opportunity for fans congratulate her and see a Paralympic medal up-close.”
