A REDDITCH farmshop helped national sausage week go with a bang-er.

The Old Yarr Estates Butchery, in Astwood Bank, helped celebrate the week, which ran from November 5 to 11, which aims to stand up for British bangers.

It also aims to highlight the sheer range and quality of sausages local and independent butchers have on offer.

The farmshop has a great selection of sausages, including pork, stilton and apple, beef and herb, and pork with sundried tomato.

As part of the week it ran a number of events and special offers to help people make the most of this great value family food.

A spokesman from the butchery, now open seven days a week, said that sausages are not just for breakfast, but a great, low cost family favourite at dinner times too.
