REDDITCH MP Karen Lumley has met with the managing director of London Midland Rail to discuss the recent delays and cancellations on the London Midland Service between Redditch and Lichfield.
Mrs Lumley said it had been a very “frank and open” discussion on Wednesday, November 7.
She said: “I received guarantees that fewer trains will be cancelled between now and December 9.
“I was also assured that after December 9 there will be no more delays or cancellations to London Midland services in Redditch.
“I also understand that some passengers have had issues with trains not stopping at Alvechurch and Barnt Green and I am informed this will be urgently addressed.”
She added that she had written to the Secretary of State for Transport informing him of the guarantees she had received from London Midland Rail and that she expected these promises to be upheld.
