PUPILS from Feckenham First School are preparing for the coming spring next week, by planting bulbs on the school grounds.
The school has had a little help from Redditch Borough councillors, who are stepping in to help the children with their planting at the entrance of Swansbrook Lane.
Feckenham Parish Council have also joined in with the activity, supplying daffodil and crocus bulbs to the school, to ensure there will be a blaze of colour in the spring.
Councillor Debbie Taylor, portfolio holder for local environment at Redditch Borough Council, said “I can’t wait to see the results of Feckenham First School’s hard work in the Spring. I imagine Swansbrook Lane will be full of beautiful flowers that I am sure will help us maintain our gold award as well as benefiting the pupils of the school.
“Activities like this are important because not only do they help the environment, they are also educational and fun for the children to take part in.”
