The Courtyard’s new season features rock and roll to Ruddygore.

The Hereford arts centre if offering a wide selection of drama, music and arts over the coming months. As well as local favourites, such as Bottleneck Theatre Company and 4 Play Theatre Company, several professional touring groups will visit.

In February, Splice Productions take a fresh look at Dylan Thomas’s Under Milk Wood. Set in a BBC radio studio, Under Milk Wood: Live On Air focuses on a celebratory broadcast of the famous drama which doesn’t quite go according to plan.

“Think Dylan Thomas meets Round the Horne” said actor Bob Gwilym, who stars in the show and is best-known to audiences as Max from Casualty.

The venue’s eclectic mix of music continues with a new season from Nightjar Clubs showcasing world music and folk. For classical lovers, the City of London Sinfonia will peform the Four Seasons in the programme that also boasts works by Handel, Haydn and Sibelius.

For young theatre goers, there is Fireman Sam: Pontypandy Rocks! as well as We’re Going On A Bear Hunt: Live on Stage, a stage adaptation of Michael Rosen’s picture book.
