A SCREENING of a classic Shakespeare play is being shown at a Bromsgrove venue next month.
Othello, live from Stratford-upon-Avon, is being shown at the Artrix Theatre on Wednesday, September 2.
The play tells the story of the great general - a fearsome warrior, loving husband and defender of Venice against its enemies.
But the play also explores Othello as the outsider whose victory has created enemies of his own, men driven by prejudice and jealously to destroy him.
The production, from the Royal Shakespeare Company, (RSC), also welcomes returning star Hugh Quarshie who has worked for a decade on film and television products from Star Wars to Holby City.
Hugh will play opposite Lucian Msamati in the role of Iago.
The screening takes place at the School Drive-based venue from 7pm.
Tickets cost £15, £12 for students, which are available from the box office on 01527 577330 or visit artrix.co.uk.
