Matt Edmondson has been unveiled as the new host of The Xtra Factor.
The radio DJ will front the ITV2 spin-off show when The X Factor returns in the autumn.
He is replacing Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom, who presented the 2015 series.
Matt said: “I am unbelievably excited about joining The Xtra Factor this year, not least of all because on my first day Louis Walsh walked into my dressing room topless, unannounced.
“I regard this as the definition of ‘living the dream’.”
Matt, 30, is a longtime fan of the singing competition and in 2011 he presented an online spin-off called The Fan Factor.
It has also been announced that The Xtra Factor will be going live from the first episode.
The format change means viewers will be able to react to each programme immediately after the audience has seen it.
Richard Holloway, managing director, Thames TV and acting chief executive, FremantleMedia UK, said: “Matt is a very funny guy and his irreverent, humorous take on the world, along with our new live format, is set to make for a great series of Xtra Factor.”
