BOTTLED water is being given to vulnerable customers as large parts of Redditch are still without water.

Severn Trent say they are still working to repair a burst water pipe in Redditch as it has ‘proven more tricker’ than they first thought.

The company is delivered bottled water to vulnerable customers and two bottled water stations have been set up.

The stations are open until 10 pm tonight (September 30) at Tesco Extra, Coldfield Drive and B&Q on Jinnah Road.

Three schools have closed today as the sites have no water.

The latest update on Severn Trent’s website reads: “While the network continues to refill some customers in the Redditch area, some properties may still experience supply issues and low pressure.

“Our teams have been working hard throughout the night continuing through to this morning on the burst pipe. The repairs have proven to be more trickier than we first anticipated.

“As a result of this bottled water has been delivered to vulnerable customers in the area and two bottled water stations have been set up at for any affected customers who may require them.

“The stations will be open from 1030 until 2200 tonight (30 Sept 2022) and are located at Tesco Extra, Coldfield Drive, Redditch B98 7RU, B&Q, Jinnah Road. Redditch B98 7ER.

“We can’t apologise enough to everyone affected by the issue overnight and into this morning.

“We are extremely thankful for all our customers patience and we will continue to post further updates throughout the day.”
