PINK tutus and mistletoe were the accessories of choice when a group of kind-hearted cyclists took part in a nocturnal fundraiser.
The riders, all from the Tenbury area, joined thousands of other cyclists for Women v Cancer, Ride the Night; cycling 65 miles from Windsor through the moonlit streets of London and back.
The Mistletoe Girls, as they are known, cycled for about seven hours and have so far raised an amazing £5,300 - with more money coming in.
“The atmosphere was electric,” said Jennifer Wellings, one of the Tenbury women. “None of us are real cyclists, so we had to do a lot of training. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us so far.”
Jennifer was joined by Carol Wright, Maria Harris, Sara Morris, Beckie Morris and Helen Walker. They had all been training since Christmas for the gruelling ride.
There is still time to help the Mistletoe Girls raise even more to boost the fight against cancer. For details, go to https://www.justgiving.com/companyteams/mistletoegirls
