FOLLOWING a successful performance at the Primrose Hospice summer fete, talented young musicians from Bromsgrove Rock School will be taking to the stage at Redditch's Rocklands Social Club.

Band members aged between 11 and 18 will be performing after 10 weeks of preparation, meeting every Saturday morning at St John's Middle School to rehearse.

With the help of professional musician Brian Hoggard, guitarist Loz Ruston and vocal coach Givvi Flynn, Bromsgrove Rock School has developed a strong repertoire of covers and original compositions.

The set at Rocklands Social Club in Birchfield Road on Sunday, July 8 will include songs like Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day, Seven Nation Army from The White Stripes and Wild Thing by The Troggs.

Members of the public are encouraged to come along and support the musicians at 3pm.

The gig is set to last for around an hour. There is no entry charge but visitors will be asked to make a minimum donation of £2 towards the David Morgan Trust, which supports the musical education of young people in Bromsgrove.
