CRIME in Warwickshire has fallen by 11 per cent, according to the latest crime figures from the Office of National Statistics.
The county has seen a drop in recorded crime from June 2010 to December 2013, continuing the downward trend of crime levels both locally and nationally.
Alcester and Bidford-on-Avon MP, Nadhim Zahawi, welcomed the news.
"I am delighted that we are seeing crime fall here in Warwickshire and across the country," he said. "This is testament to the hard work and dedication of our local Officers and PCSOs, who do a fantastic job making our communities safer.
"I hope we can continue to build on this positive news, and I will continue to work with Warwickshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner on local priorities so we keep seeing results on the ground.”
