A MAN well known for his languorous style and seductive voice is visiting Evesham Arts Centre.

Earl Okin, whose cabaret club shows combine cool jazz with comedy, will play live on Friday, October 29.

Intermitently described as a “Forties throwback”, “a distinctive, eccentric figure in suit and spats with a guitar and a louche charm”, Okin is a Bossa Nova singer songwriter who accompanies himself on piano or guitar but has also supported acts as diverse as Ralph McTell, Fairport Convention, Van Morrison and Paul McCartney.

He has also performed at the Edinburgh and Montreal Comedy festivals.

For tickets are £10 on the door or £9 in advance from Evesham Almonry 01386 446944, or online at eveshamartscentre.co.uk.
