REDDITCH United bounced back from a defeat with a win at home in a local derby on Monday evening.

The team won 2-0 against Stratford Town in front of a team of a crowd of more than three hundred.

Alex Cameron scored after 20 minutes while Danny King secured the win with his goal at 78 minutes in a game manager Matt Clarke called "massive."

The game was a welcome win after a 3-0 defeat on Saturday against Leamington Town.

Although it was still nil nil at half time, goals by Callum Stewart at 49 minutes, Ewan Williams at 55 minutes and Theodore Streete at 95 minutes put Leamington ahead for the Southern League Central game.

The game saw Redditch receive two red cards with Mr Clarke saying the referee had 'lost control.'

However, he accepted players had made bad choices.

Mr Clarke said: "The first red card changed the game.

"But we don't ever make excuses.

"We weren't good enough and we made bad decisions on the field."
