Bromsgrove Sporting were made to pay for a string of missed chances in the first half, as Alvechurch ran out 2-0 winners at the Victoria Ground.

Both goals in a three minute spell in the second half, from substitutes Ethan Patterson and Danny Waldron writes Max Banner.

Sporting's Jamie Molyneux had a brace of chances on the five minute mark, the first being a shot that was saved on to the post by Leon Phillips and the second an effort straight at the Alvechurch keeper from a great position.

Bromsgrove's Josh Dugmore struck just wide in the 28th minute, whilst Sporting stopper Ollie Taylor had to be alert save a Mitchel Candlin drive from the edge of the area moments later.

In the 33rd minute, Joe Willis bundled the ball into the net but it was ruled off for an offside in the build up and, seven minutes later, Callum Ebanks wasted a golden opportunity, shooting wide from a one on one situation inside the box.

The deadlock was broken in the 68th minute, as a Waldron header was parried by Taylor into the path of Patterson, who tapped in from two yards.

The lead was doubled in the 70th minute, as McLintock found Waldron in the area, from where he found the net with a cool finish.

With nine minutes remaining, Sporting captain Joel Kettle was sent off after remaining his second yellow of the afternoon.
