A REDDITCH football club has become one of the first in the area to sign up Kick It Out's Equality Charter.
Kingfisher FC has signed up to commit to working towards the eradication of discrimination in football and the promotion of equality, inclusion and diversity.
As an Equality Chartered Club, Kingfisher FC will have a closer relationship with Kick It Out’s grassroots, education and reporting teams.
The club's equality officer, Richard Field, said: “Everyone in football has a responsibility to not only condemn discrimination but to be more proactive in tackling it.
"Kingfisher FC is proud to be a Kick It Out chartered club, demonstrating that we go further in promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
"By signing the Equality Charter this is the first step in eradicating hate in the game and ensuring everyone feels welcome and safe in football. It’s vital that we all work together towards this common cause."
The club, which is for women and girls, hold development sessions for youngsters at Woodfield Academy on a Monday between 6pm and 7pm.
