Kimberley Miners Welfare 3 v 2 Studley FC
Studley exited the Vase in Nottingham on Saturday in a game of two halves.
Studley kicked off and the game was pretty even for the first 15 mins and then top scorer Alfie Bloomer was pulled down in the box.
With the penalty being given Bloomer took it himself and the keeper saved it but Jordan Murphy was on hand to put the rebound in.
The game ebb and flowed but Stdley scored a second on 35 mins when Danny Carter got on the end of a Boomer cross to go in at half time 2 v 0 up.
Kimberley made a couple of substitutions at half time and came out in a more determined effort ,and took control of the game getting back in the game on 55 mins through Louis Parkes. This spurred them on even more and Studley were reduced to the odd break away. The equaliser came on 67 mins when Aaron Coyle slotted home.
The Stags continued to press and the deserved winner came on 85 mins through Nathan Banton much to the delight of the home side.
Studley FC are always on the look out for new committee members and especially a match Day Secretary.
