Gary Whild has been hot on the tail of a number of past Redditch Untied stars and some names have now been released for their charity game against Midlands Legends.
The group of former United stars will face a legends side that will include Clinton Morrison, Martin O’Connor and Darren Byfield who will be managed by ex-WBA and Villa Manager Brian Little.
Names confirmed to represent Redditch United Legends so far include: Dennis Pearce, Exodus Geohaghon, Asa Charlton, Quentin Townsend, Liam McDonald, Scott Rickards, Simon Hollis, Ian King, Dany Scheppel, Carl Heggs, Howard Forrington, Mark Danks and Dave Bridgwater
The match will be held at the Trico Stadium on Saturday June 26 (3pm Ko) and will be a chance to get supporters back to watching live football again and also support raising some much needed funds for local charities including Libby Mae’s Little Angels.
Redditch United is also cutting the cost of live football with the return of their £99 season ticket.
Club chairman David Faulkner said: “We are very excited to announce this fantastic offer again. With all the talk on Super Leagues and VAR we’re hoping our offer will entice more supporters of the professional clubs to come and give non-league a go.”
“People said that our £99 offer was mad when we launched it last season but this helped to increase our average gates by over 300 people. Football is all about the supporters and the extra support that we received from the town enabled us to achieve some fantastic things last year. We will be ready and raring to go once the season gets underway on August 14th.”
Tickets can be purchased online through the club's website or purchased at Redditch United on Monday and Thursday evenings between 6pm-9pm.
