WORCESTER Warriors' Duncan Weir has been dropped from Scotland's 23-man squad for their Autumn Nations Cup third place play-off with Ireland on Saturday.
Having started the three group games in the absence of Finn Russel and Adam Hastings, Weir has been replaced by Edinburgh fly-half Jaco van de Wal, who will make his debut for his country in Dublin.
Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend has made six changes to the side that lost to France in their last Nations Cup fixture.

Cornell du Preez, who has been involved with Scotland without featuring in a game this autumn, has not made the squad either.
It is not known yet whether or not they will be available for Warriors this weekend against Bath.
