WARRIORS STAR MAN: MARCO MAMA

In what was a scrappy game, the back row stood out for Worcester and Marco Mama led from the front.

Warriors had 20 per cent possession in the first half and spent a lot of time defending.

When they had the ball the pack had to carry well and Mama did just that.

He carried hard into the defence and was first to the breakdown almost every time.

He made 20 tackles and did not miss one which is a serious shift for a guy of his size.

His work ethic was unquestionable, as is so often the case, and he did as much as he could have done to help Warriors win the game.

Ted Hill and Cornell du Preez got through 17 and 25 tackles respectively and offered themselves to make the hard yards.

Jamie Shillcock had a composed game at full-back and Nick David did well with the limited ball he got.

Scott van Breda impressed off the bench as well which will no doubt please boss Alan Solomons.
