WORCESTER eased to a 52-0 win at local rivals Droitwich in the North Midlands Under 16s Cup preliminary round.

Gallant Droitwich defence restricted Worcester scoring in the first half which ended 14-0 to the visitors.

But substituting fresh legs from the depth of talent that Worcester has in the under 16s this year secured the game with an emphatic scoreline boasting eight tries.

The range of try-scorers illustrates how many attacking options this team can use.

Alex Wills (2), Ben Williams, Josh Culpin, Tobey Jones, Will Dunaway, Isiah Martin and Robbie May all dived over.

There were conversions from Alex Terry (2) and Jacob Morgan-Iqbal (4).

Worcester followed this with a 56-5 win at Ledbury in the first round.

They again dominated the scoring with their solid defence keeping the hosts out until a cross-field kick late in the second half.

There were tries from Jack Lyman, May (3), Martin (2), Jones, Alfie Morse, Cam Richardson and Will Chater.

Terry and Morgan-Iqbal (2) kicked the extras.

Worcester look forward to finding out their quarter-final opponents.
