ALVECHURCH boss Darren Byfield will ring the changes following successive defeats over a disappointing bank holiday weekend.

Church lost 3-0 away at Hednesford on Saturday before Monday's 2-0 loss at home to rivals Alvechurch.

Byfield will now look at his options after picking up four points from the opening five games of the new Southern League Central season.

He said: "We've got to start realising that we have to play for 90 minutes and can't just have little spells of good play.

"Against both Hednesford and Alvechurch we have been the better side in the first half and should have been ahead.

"We have to focus more and man up when we go a goal behind and make sure we keep fighting.

"It's not that we're not working hard enough it's just about our concentration levels."

They now head to bottom club Leiston this Saturday.

"To lose back-to-back and at home is not great and it means changes are afoot," added the boss.

"It's up to the the management team to make a few tweaks and to find the right mix.

"Others are going to get their chance now. Leiston is a massive game.

"No one is down in the dumps about it but we know where we need to improve. We are not far away but we have to maintain our play and pressure over a whole game."

Stu Mcnaught is still two weeks away and Josh Ezewele is have a knee injury assessed ahead of the weekend.
