REDDITCH United manager Ian King has added to his attacking options with the loan signings of forward Dan Sweeney and midfielder Callum Coyle.

The duo have joined from Solihull Moors to bolster the Reds ahead of the new Southern League Central season.

King said: "Dan gives us a different dynamic to what we already have.

"He is at the stage of his career where he really can start to prove his ability. Hopefully the game time we give him will help him do that.

"Callum is an attacking midfielder and also gives us that different dynamic from that area of the pitch.

"We'll still be looking at players but we're now at a stage where all the lads currently in the squad have been excellent and worked really hard. Now it's up to them to do everything they can to get into my plans.

"We have a lot of options and it's a nice problem to have as a manager."

Redditch continued a good pre-season as they beat League Two side Manfield Town 4-1 at the Trico Stadium last Saturday.

King added: "It was a good run out and it gave us the opportunity for players to play at least half a game.

"It was really good for our fitness and we were able to tinker with a few formations as well. I think I know how we'll be playing come the start of the season now and it's up to the players to force their way into that.

"It's just about polishing things a little bit more in the time we have."

"We've got to the stage where we won't be getting carried away by the results we get at the moment. We're fully aware that the games are going to be a lot more competitive when the season starts.

"It was a young Mansfield side that we played so you have to bear that in mind.

"One real positive was the amount of positive feedback we have had from the fans who have come to watch us. That feeds back to the players too."

Reds were due to host Worcester City on Tuesday before the visit of Aston Villa this Saturday (noon start).
