WARRIORS.

6 Pennell – was brushed aside by Naiyaravoro for his first try but the Warriors full-back showed his quality at times, notably intercepting Reinach’s cross kick with a fantastic catch.

Humphreys – missed two tackles in just five minutes before leaving the field after being clattered by Burrell who stormed through for the opening score.

6 Venter – suffered a blow to his head in the lead-up to Naiyaravoro’s score on 20 minutes. His replacement Lance injected energy and superbly set up Te’o.

6 Te’o – after missing a tackle on Burrell for Saints’ first try, the centre atoned for his error with a close-range score and cut some good lines in attack.

5 Adams – was not his usual self as he made a couple of handling errors in the first half and threw a forward pass just moments after the interval.

4 Weir – his errant pass at the death summed up a disappointing day at the office for the fly-half who kicked poorly out of hand and struggled defensively at times.

6 Hougaard – cannot knock his commitment as he put his body on the line at scrum-half and on the wing but his over-exuberance resulted in a yellow card for killing the ball.

6 Waller – a steady showing by the prop who held up his end of the scrum but did not have as much influence in the loose as he has in previous weeks.

6 Annett – after his impressive displays in the past two games the hooker was solid again at the lineout and shook off a knock to his leg to last 60 minutes.

5 Schonert – had a tough time in the scrum as he was pinged twice in quick succession before being forced off with the head injury on half-hour mark.

5 Bresler – gifted Biggar a shot at goal at the start of the second half following a high tackle – and that was his last act in an under-par display.

6 Barry – making his fourth successive start, the lock managed the lineout well but was replaced by Kitchener who made more of an impression in defence.

7 DU PREEZ – a robust performance by the physical back rower who was the only player to get their tackle count into double figures (15). My man of the match.

6 Lewis – launched an early attack with a neat offload and was quick to pounce on a couple of loose balls but was subbed at half-time which Solomons said was tactical.

5 van Velze – making his first outing since mid-February, the number eight looked a tad rusty, especially in defence as he missed six tackles.
