FECKENHAM Cricket Club are facing up to the mouth watering prospect of playing in the highest level of league cricket in their history when they take their place in the newly formed Worcestershire County League Premier Division.

The new campaign gets underway on April 13 when Feckenham will cross swords with former Birmingham League giants such as Stourbridge and Old Hill.

In addition Feckenham can look forward to a string of attractive local derby games against the likes of Astwood Bank, Evesham, Pershore and Redditch.

Feckenham seconds will be playing in Worcestershire League Division Five while the thirds will do battle in Worcestershire Division 12SE.

Pre-season training is already taking place at Alcester Grammar School sports hall every Sunday from 11am until noon when any new players of all standards are invited to join in.

Feckenham are also on the lookout for a first XI scorer.

This season, all premier division sides will be required to score on-line by using a laptop which will be provided as will training in the use of software.

Anyone interested in playing or scoring are asked to contact Nick Reddish on 07802 212125.
