INJURED wing Perry Humphreys could be back in time for next month’s Premiership Cup clash with Wasps after scans showed “nothing significant”.
Worcester Warriors say the in-form 24-year-old will be out for “a few weeks” with an ankle injury sustained in last weekend’s Gallagher Premiership home win over Bath.
It means Humphreys will miss Warriors’ next two European Challenge Cup (ECC) games as they visit Ospreys on Saturday (3pm) before hosting Stade Francais seven days later.
But with a week break after the Stade game Warriors will hope to have Humphreys back available for their meeting with Wasps at Sixways on Sunday, February 3.
Humphreys who was put on crutches following the nasty-looking collision had his ankle scanned yesterday.
A Warriors spokesman said: “Perry scans have shown nothing significant and he will be out for a few weeks.
“Two weeks of ECC and then a week off so that might cover it.”
