ON-LOAN Worcester Warriors player Lewis Bean stood to attention during a minute’s silence ahead of his side's Premiership Cup encounter at Saracens on Sunday.
While players from both teams linked arms Bean chose to stand straight with his feet together and arms by his side as a mark of respect to those that had fallen in World War One and Two.
The 26-year-old lock who has joined Warriors on loan from Birmingham Moseley has served with The Rifles regiment in Afghanistan.
Speaking to Warriors TV, Bean said: “As I am still a serving soldier it is really personal to me to pay our respects on this important day to remember those that have fallen.

“It was really good, especially with it being my first appearance for Warriors and it being Remembrance Day as well.”
Bean who stands at 6ft 8in has been training with Warriors since the summer and played the full 80 minutes of Worcester’s 34-22 loss at Saracens.
“I think I have come on leaps and bounds,” Bean said.
“It is a tough environment to be in but all the players and the coaching staff at Warriors are brilliant and have really brought me on.
“It is really good to get out on the pitch and give something back to them.”
