NEWCOMER Michael Fatialofa is expected to start training with the rest of Worcester Warriors’ squad next week.

But director of rugby Alan Solomons insists Warriors “will not be pushing” the 6ft 6in lock into action until he is “good to go”.

Fatialofa arrived at Sixways last Friday after helping Auckland to win the Mitre 10 Cup.

Since then Solomons said the second row had been training with the club's conditioners and getting to know the surroundings.

"We will integrate him into training next week but we will not be pushing him," Solomons said.

"We will make sure he is 100 per cent good to go. It may not be full training. We have got to see what the conditioners and the medics tell us."

Fatialofa, 26, has made the move to Worcester from New Zealand where he starred for Super Rugby giants Hurricanes.

"He is pleased to be here," Solomons said.

"He is settling in nicely and getting to know the lads. We have got a good bunch of players so for a new guy coming in it is easy."
