CENTRE Ryan Mills and back rower Marco Mama are being readied for Worcester Warriors’ return to Premiership action.

The duo have missed Warriors’ past four games with Mills and Mama nursing an ankle issue and tight hamstring respectively.

But director of rugby Alan Solomons expects the pair to be fit for Worcester’s league encounter with Bath at The Rec a week on Saturday (12.45pm).

Solomons has fielded strong line-ups in Warriors’ two Premiership Cup victories over Sale Sharks and Leicester Tigers.

But with just a six-day turnaround after Sunday’s cup clash at Saracens (3pm) to prepare for the trip to Bath Solomons is likely to put out a weakened team this weekend.

“(Ryan and Marco) probably won’t play against Saracens,” Solomons said.

“But they will be fine for that Premiership leg.”

Asked whether he would play a younger side against Sarries at the Allianz Park, Solomons said: “I think we need to.

“What we have done is played through the first six games and then given those guys a 10-day break.

“The other lads played in Europe and then the guys (who played in the Premiership) came back.

“They needed a bit of game-time which they got in these two games. Now we can do a rotation so we keep everyone in the squad playing and keep everyone well rested as well."

Centre Ollie Lawrence is a doubt for the Saracens game after suffering a dead leg in the 31-12 victory at Leicester last Saturday.

On lock Pierce Phillips’ absence at Welford Road, Solomons added: “He had a bruised sternum and had a problem with his shin so we rested him completely last week.”
