STUDLEY staged a grandstand finish to grab a 2-2 draw at high flying AFC Hinckley in Midland League Division One this week.

Trailing 2-0 with just minutes remaining, Studley clawed a goal back through Joe Adams before Kidderminster Harriers loanee Reece Taylor-Randall scored with the last kick off the game.

Relieved Studley boss John Edwards confirmed: "The referee blew for time immediately after the restart.

"Despite the fact we only picked up a point, it felt like a victory. Had the match lasted another five minutes, I'd have fancied us to go on and take all the points."

It followed Studley's third victory over Littleton this season after removing them from the Midland League Cup courtesy of a 4-0 margin.

Dan Carter converted twice with Jamie Clarke and Joe Adams also on the mark.

Studley had previously beaten Littleton in the Midland League and the Worcestershire Senior Urn.

Edwards admitted: "It's one of those situations where you'd like to play Littleton every week. But then so do all the other clubs."

Studley entertain top of the table Lichfield City at the Beehive on Saturday before travelling to Atherstone next Wednesday night.

Edwards added: "We're in a tough run of fixtures at the moment, so anything we can pick up is a bonus."

Busy Edwards has snapped up versatile Littleton player Sean Cooke, who came on as a second half substitute against Hinckley.

He also hopes to have former Stourbridge player Brandon Hague on board in time to face Lichfield.

Hague spent last season on loan at Lye Town having been plagued by injury but has started this term at Romulus.

Edwards added:" Sean Cooke has impressed us every time we played against Littleton. He came on for the last half hour at Hinckley and his performance was electric."
