STUDLEY have snapped up former Bromsgrove Sporting striker Sean Brain and the prolific marksman soon made his presence felt by netting twice in their 3-2 triumph over Chelmsley Town.

But it was the dangerous Dan Carter who clinched the points when converting a 90th minute winner.

Brain has arrived at the Beehive from Southern League side Evesham United and Studley boss John Edwards explained: "Sean hasn't been getting much game time with Evesham and has spent most of his time there on the bench.

"We've signed him on dual registration forms at the moment, although I believe he is making a decision about Evesham this week."

Edwards has also added another former Bromsgrove Sporting striker Jamie Clarke to his squad after switching from Highgate United.

Edwards said: "I've suddenly got an embarrassment of riches up front but already it appears to be working.

"We didn't play well against Chelmsley at all, in fact it was probably our worst display of the season. But the difference was that we took our chances, which we haven't been doing this season."

Studley travel to face higher ranked Boldmere St Michaels this Saturday in the FA Vase.

The Milkes play on a 4G pitch but Edwards insists it will suit his side.
